Best/Worst SEC Media Day

Best Dan Mullen telling us that Mississippi State was the State University of Mississippi. Mullen continued to take shots at "The School Up North" during SEC Media Days. It's obvious that Mullen has made this rivalry a top priority for his football program.

Worst Houston Nutt bragging about pulling in top Mississippi Recruits. Nutt was asked numerous times about the Mississippi State Billboards and Dan Mullen's comments. Nutt's response was he won the recruiting battle in Mississippi last year, but the problem is that MSU has won two straight over Ole Miss. Nutt came across as the loser at SEC Media Days in the Egg Bowl Rivalry.

Best Steve Spurrier's comments when asked about Mike Slive's multi year scholarship proposal. "Terrible idea" Spurrier said without any delay. Spurrier has never hid from his opinion and he was classic Ball Coach during this moment.

Worst Mike Slive proposing a multi year scholarship. Academic scholarships aren't multi year. If you got a scholarship because you were a 4.0 student in high school, but now you sport a 1.5 GPA in college then your scholarship will end. The same should happen to a 5 star athlete who puts out 1 star effort.

Best Tony Franklin talking to the media. Franklin was very impressive when dealing with the media at SEC Media Days. He has a true energy about him and was fun to listen to. I think people are starting to see why this young coach has been doing so well recruiting at Vanderbilt so far.

Worst Joker Phillips talking to the media. Phillips just doesn't come off as a head coach when he speaks. There is very little excitement in his voice and it's hard to believe him when he says its time for Kentucky to take the next step forward

Best Les Miles calling message board guys "Slick Willies". It was apparent by Miles' mention of the name Willie that he has the NCAA investigation on his mind.

Worst Gene Chizik saying he sleeps really well at night when his head hits the pillow. Chizik, doesn't seem to have the NCAA on his mind if he's sleeping well at night.

Best Fanatic Alabama Fans showing up for autographs. Many make fun of Bama fans for showing up at media days, but they are fans and they are there to show support for their Crimson Tide.

Worst Ole Miss and Kentucky Fans voting at SEC Media Days. Kentucky received 1 vote at SEC Media Days to win the SEC Championship, Ole Miss received 2 votes. These fans need to wait in the lobby with the Tide fans and not be allowed to vote at SEC Media Days.
