Ranking the SEC

1. Alabama- Saban has few issues whipping his old school

2. LSU- Despite the off the field issues, Miles pulls out another big game win

3. Arkansas- Joe Adams ties SEC record with 2 punt returns for a TD in a blowout win over Missouri State

4. South Carolina- Gamecocks sloppy in first half, but dominated the 2nd half

5. Mississippi State- Bulldogs took the short road trip to Memphis and came away with a big win

6. Florida- Muschamp debuts with a win

7. Georgia- Richt's seat is getting hotter

8. Tennessee- Justin Hunter shows his big time potential in win over Montana

9. Auburn- Tigers can still score, but the defense has issues stopping anything between the tackles

10. Ole Miss-Without Bolden this offense will struggle all year

11. Kentucky- Cats look below average in win over Western Kentucky

12. Vanderbilt- James Franklin is one of the few Vandy coaches in the last 50 years with a record over .500

Week 2 Predictions(Last week 10-2)

South Carolina 20 Georgia 14- This series has been the SEC's closest and lowest scoring over the last decade

Arkansas 49 New Mexico 7- Hogs get another out of conference blow out win

Kentucky 31 Central Michigan 7- UK's offense wakes up in week 2

Ole Miss 35 Southern Illinois 3- In his postgame press conference Nutt will treat this win like Ole Miss just beat Green Bay

Florida 45 Alabama-Birmingham 10- Muschamp starts 2-0 in his Gator career

Alabama 27 Penn State 17- This game will be close early, but Bama will close out the game late

UConn 31 Vanderbilt 17- Franklin only stays above .500 a week for Vandy

LSU 45 Northwestern State 0- This instate battle will be over quickly

Tennessee 28 Cincinnati 17- Bearcats lead the nation in scoring after 1 week with 72 points

Mississippi State 45 Auburn 42- This will be the most exciting game of the week as 2 great offensive minds face off on the Plains

The Best and Worst of week 1

Best Performance by a team- LSU beating #3 Oregon in Dallas.  Les Miles continues to dominate in big games

Worst Performance by a team- Auburn beating Utah State-  The Aggies are a bad BCS program and Auburn is lucky to come away with the win

Best Performance by a player- Vick Ballard RB Mississippi State running for 166 yards in MSU's big win over Memphis

Worst Performance by a player- Georgia's offensive line which allowed 6 sacks and outside of Brandon Boykin's 80 yard run, only gave the running game 57 yards on 30 carries

Best play- Joe Adams 2nd punt return for a touchdown for Arkansas

Best game of the week- Auburn's win over Utah State was exciting and had fans all over the country tuning in

Worst game of the week- Arkasnas beating Missouri State 51-7.  Missouri State had negative yardage for most of the first half. 

Best coaching job of the week- Les Miles pulling off a huge win over Oregon despite all the off the field distractions

Worst coaching job of the week- Richt failing to use his team's speed advantage on offense against Boise until late in the game.  The Dogs were sleep walking most of the first 3 quarters.
