War Memorial Stadium was home to the best scene in the SEC for week 2
Week 3 SEC Preview
Ranking the SEC
1. Alabama- Tide were physically dominant in Penn State game
2. LSU- Tigers should be on upset alert this week
3. Arkansas- Hogs are outscoring opponents 103-10 this year
4. South Carolina- Melvin Ingram was named National Player of the week
5. Auburn- Defending National Champs know how to play interesting games
6. Florida- Muschamp gets his first big game this week
7. Mississippi State- Mullen should've passed with 10 seconds left, then run
8. Tennessee- Tyler Bray looks like the SEC's top QB early on
9. Georgia- Dogs will end up having a good year, but at this moment its hard to rank them higher
10. Vanderbilt- Good win over defending Big East Champs
11. Ole Miss- Loss to BYU doesn't look as bad when Texas struggled with Cougars
12. Kentucky- Cats offense looks awful
Week 3 Predictions(Last week 8-2, overall 18-4)
Mississippi State 27 LSU 21- Going with the upset in this one. Thursday Night games typically are won by home team
South Carolina 31 Navy 14- Navy upset the #2 Gamecocks in 84. USC is to strong on the Dline to allow Navy to run wild
Arkansas 35 Troy 17- Hogs play a team with a pulse this week
Florida 24 Tennessee 20- I believe these 2 teams are very close, so I'll go with the home team
Alabama 38 North Texas 7- Tide get an easy win as they prepare for their first SEC test next week
Ole Miss 28 Vanderbilt 21- If Franklin can win he would be the 1st first year coach at Vandy to start 3-0
since 1946
Georgia 52 Coastal Carolina 7- CCU coach David Bennett wants more Dogs and not Cats. He gets some Dawgs this week
Kentucky 20 Louisville 17- Neither team has looked good early, but UK will come away with rivalry win
Clemson 38 Auburn 35- The win streak is snapped and the luck runs out in Death Valley
Best and Worst of Week 2
Best game MSU at Auburn- Relf comes 1 foot short of taking this game into overtime
Worst game New Mexico at Arkansas- Hogs weren't sharp, but still won by 7 TDs
Best performance- Devin Taylor of South Carolina scoring on special teams, recovering an onside kick, and scoring on defense
Worst performance- Morgan Newton of Kentucky being sacked 3 times and only throwing for 114 yds against Central Michigan
Best scene- Arkansas' War Memorial Stadium. The Razorbacks painted their Hog red, white, and blue and the stands were red, white, and blue as well
Worst scene- Auburn's Eagle going wild during his pregame flight. The Eagle flew into the stands, hit a box window, and finally landed.
Best Play- Melvin Ingram's TD run on a fake punt.
Worst Play- Mullen's call to run the ball with 10 seconds left. Pass the ball and you get off 2 plays instead of 1
