As this decade ends we crown the Texas Longhorns as the "Team of the Decade" in college baseball. Despite losing the CWS to LSU this season, the Longhorns were able to win the National Championship twice this decade and appeared in the title game a couple more times.
How the Point System Works
5 Points for making a regional
15 Points for making a Super Regional
25 Points for making the CWS
30 Points for making Title Game
40 Points for winning CWS
Bonus Points
5 For being a #1 seed in a regional
10 For being a top 8 National Seed
15 For being the Nation's #1 overall seed
Example: LSU Earned 50 points this year. 40 for a national championship and 10 for being a national top 8 seed.

1. Texas 280 Points-2 National Championships and 10 Regionals for the Horns
2. Cal State Fullerton 270 Points- The Titans won the 04 NC and had 6 CWS appearances
3. Rice 265 Points- Rice won the 03 NC and had 10 Regional Appearances
4. LSU 250 Points- LSU won 2 national championships this decade, but also missed the postseason in 06 and 07
4. Miami 250 Points- The 2001 NC and 10 regionals put the Canes in the top 5
6. Florida State 230 Points- FSU is the highest ranked program without a NC
7. Stanford 220 Points- The Cardinal appeared in a couple National Championship Games this decade, but failed to win a NC
8. South Carolina 195 Points- 10 Regional appearances and 3 CWS appearances put the Gamecocks in the top 10
9. Clemson 190 Points- The Tigers appeared in 3 CWS and 9 regionals
10. North Carolina 180 Points- 4 straight CWS Appearances and 2 NC Game Appearances for the Heels
10. Georgia Tech 180 Points- The Jackets only missed on 1 regional this decade and had 2 CWS Appearances
12. Arizona State 175 Points- ASU is the 2nd highest ranked PAC 10 school with 3 CWS Appearances and 10 Regional Appearances
13. Nebraska 160 Points- Despite missing 2 regionals, the Huskers are in the top 15
14. Georgia 150 Points- A 2008 NC Game Appearance and 4 CWS appearances highlight the Dawgs' decade
15. Oregon State 130 Points- Back to back National Championships put the Beavers at #15
16. Tulane 115 Points- Tulane made it to 2 CWS' this decade
16. Florida 115 Points- The Gators played for the National Championship in 2005
18. Arkansas 110 Points- Arkansas didn't make the CWS at all in the 90s, but made it twice this decade
18. Ole Miss 110 Points- Ole Miss is the highest ranked team without a CWS Appearance
20. Southern California 100 Points- The Trojans haven't made a regional since 2005, but was strong early this decade
A Prediction on How the Next Decade Will Look
1. LSU- The Giant slept for a few years, but its awake again
2. Cal State Fullerton- The Titans continue to be the best in the west
3. Texas- Pick any decade and the Horns are near the top
4. South Carolina- The best program, facilities, coach, and fans in the SEC East
5. Miami- Only a matter of time before Miami wins another NC
6. Arizona State- This program has always been at the top
7. North Carolina- A new facility and a fantastic coach will keep UNC near the top
8. Arkansas- What kind of crowds will Baum have 10 years from now?
9. Rice- Houston, TX has too much talent for this program to go away
10. UC Irvine- The program was dead for near a decade, but has made a quick impact since coming back
11. Florida State- Will Mike Martin ever get his national championship?
12. Clemson- The Tigers have made 21 of the last 22 regionals
13. Stanford- The program slipped a little in the late part of this decade, but is still very strong
14. Mississippi State- Cohen will take this program back where it belongs
15. East Carolina- The Pirates just missed our top 20 list, they won't in the next decade
16. Oregon State- Back to back NCs aren't likely again, but OSU will continue to be strong
17. Florida- Too much talent in the Sunshine State to keep the Gators down
18. Coastal Carolina- The Myrtle Beach area is a great place to recruit and draw in recruits. This program is bound to reach the CWS soon
19. Texas A&M- The Aggies haven't been to Omaha since 1999, that won't be a problem in the next decade
20. Ole Miss- One of the best settings in college baseball will continue to draw in top recruits for Bianco's program.
