Worst Helmets Ever

Worst Helmets in CFB History

In honor of Georgia's awful looking pro combat helmets that were introduced earlier this week we bring you the worst helmets in College Football History.

Florida State- Florida State used this helmet for multi-purpose players in 1962. This has to be the worst Indian logo used by a college or pro team in the history of American Sports.

Arkansas State- Nothing offensive about this design if you are a Native American right?

Virginia- Penn State can pull off dull, but this helmet used by Virginia from 84-93 doesn't work, especially when they were worn above orange jerseys.

Eastern Michigan- We're not Green Bay, we don't play like Green Bay, but we certainly are going to try and make our helmet look like Green Bays despite the fact there isn't a "G" in Eastern Michigan.

Wake Forest- Wake Forest's helmet in 76 and 77 looks more like Woke than Wake.

Louisville- Is there anything more intimidating than a pissed off Cardinal? This was Louisville's design from in the early 80s.

Iowa State- Oh No!! Another angry Cardinal

Northwestern- The cursive "N" used by Northwestern in this design doesn't work.

South Carolina- I actually live the Gamecock without the Block C, but the banner below him reads "scholarship and leadership". I'd expect this out of an Ivy League school, but not a football rabid school like South Carolina.

Marshall- If you can't tell what the logo of the helmet is at first glance then it's not a good design. This is an early 70s design for Marshall.

Temple- For a few years Temple used a flying owl on its helmet. This design was used from 2000-2003

Boise State- Before the blue turf, Boise had this helmet design in the mid 70s.

UNLV- Because nothing says Dixie like Las Vegas, NV

Oregon- Of course Oregon was going to make the list. This was the helmet used by Oregon from 84-94

UTEP- This design by UTEP was used in the late 80s.

Middle Tennessee- Older Ole Miss fans might think this helmet was on Archie Manning's head and not a Middle Tennessee player's head.

Hawaii- Hawaii made the list 4 times for obvious reasons
